Chris Morgan - CEO

Founder and President of the company, Chris has over twelve years experience in the oil and gas industry. He became involved in the industry at the inspiration of mentor T. Boone Pickens - a man that every oil and gas investor should emulate. Chris and our partners believe strongly in the privilege of oil and gas exploration and have experienced lasting success strongly supported by long standing relationships with industry experts, geologists, and geophysicists.

Growing up in Mesquite, Texas, Chris learned the value of hard work, honesty, and loyalty excelling as a baseball player and earning a black belt in Taekwondo. In 1992, Chris joined the military, and after four years of dedicated service as part of the Marines Special Forces during the Gulf War, he returned home to pursue a career in the increasingly profitable oil and gas industry. After much success, Chris ventured out on his own, forming GSR.

Today he is focused on the cultivation of Grand Southern Resources as an industry leader, and maintaining lasting relationships with our partners. Chris spends his free time traveling the world, studying music, and surfing his favorite beaches.
